Boy or Girl?

Even primates have gender reveals  And they do it with style . I read an article about this sweet family and simply had to share . I couldn't find the exact article from Sunday's paper, but I found something better, a video! Primate Gender Reveal Video  Check out this adorable family of Bonobos at the Memphis Zoo. They definitely had quite the audience when it came to announcing the gender of their new arrival .

Summer Days

Summer is in full swing at my house and my alarm clock is no where in sight, aside from Cody's of course. My days are unplanned and I have all day to do whatever I please. Oh, it is nice. I've mostly been spending my days listening to Etta James, catnapping, and cuddling with two sweet puppies. I have a few good reads I would like to knock off my list, but, luckily, I have about six or so weeks left of vacation to accomplish that. Big smile.

Birthday Beauty

Hooray! It is Rachel's special day! I am so honored to call her a true friend. Rachel is an absolute doll and my life would be dull without her wit and charm. Not to mention that she is obviously gorgeous! Happy birthday my sassy friend. Cheers to many more birthdays.

Laundry Woes

I think Ruby feels the same about laundry as I do.. We would both prefer to take a nap instead. : /

Class of 2013

Believe it or not, but the last of the Hicks siblings graduated from high school. I can't believe it. My youngest brother, Tyler, said audios to Horn Lake High a couple weeks ago and is now on his way to Northwest. I know it wasn't easy, but my parents managed to get four kids graduated, out the door, and on their way to bigger and better things. Whew! They deserve a tropical vacation.

Congrats Tyler! I hope you enjoy college and seek out your desires.
