The Simple Pleasures

Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things.  ~Author Unknown

How true and wise is this? I am so thankful for the girls, and guys, who stick by me, despite my bouts of bossiness, and keep me smiling. Not only do they shower me with good advice and belly laughs, but they also send me small, simple happy treats that make my day, or week rather! Check out what my dear friend Kayla sent us. She too is reminded of Boston Bunyard when she sees bicycles, so she picked up this little darling and sent it my way. As you can imagine, I shrieked with joy upon opening her gift and immediately starting coordinating an outfit around this Boston scarf. I just love it! It makes Cody and I so proud to know that our son is continually loved.

All Hail The Queen

I always thought I was the Queen of the Bunyard castle, but I think I've since been dethroned. I mean, just look at this puppy! Ruby has had no trouble in letting us know that she enjoys a life of comfort. Geez..

March for Boston

Hello friends. Cody and I would like to invite ya'll to join us at the annual March for Babies this month. As you may know, the March of Dimes strives to support research to help us understand and prevent premature birth and other serious problems that threaten our babies. No mother should experience the loss of a child and I absolutely honor this organization for its research to ensure the health of infants. The 2013 March for Babies will be held at Shelby Farms on Saturday, April 27th @ 9:00 am. My wonderful Walls family has sponsored a team in honor of our sweet Boston, named Boston's Blessings. If you would like, you can order a shirt and join us for a great walk or run, whatever you prefer. The cost for both the shirt and walk is $15.00.  If you are interested, just let me know. We hope you can make it!

Handmade anything takes the cake

Yikes. Is it really Monday again? Geesh. I told Cody this morning that I strongly feel that Mondays should be designated to cleaning, catching up on yard work, and just boring chores in general. Then we could work ten hours a day Tuesday thru Friday and our weekends are left for fun.
He agreed, but reminded me the chance of that ever happening is zero to none. Oh well. It is a nice thought.
Anyways, I had a wonderful weekend catching up with old friends and spending some cold hard cash. If you didn't know, the Spring Market was at the Agricenter and, boy, my pocketbook was hurting when I left.
I love anything crafty or homemade and that event is like the Mecca for talented folks. I picked up some of my usual fun items, plus I found a new product that I thought I would share. Check out MUSEE , a sweet business created in Madison County, MS. This company makes hand pressed natural bath balms that smell divine and are absolutely precious. Each one is named after a song and adds a unique fragrance to a hot bath. Oh, and not to mention they are cheap! ( And who doesn't like saving some money, right? ) If  you have a birthday coming up, don't be surprised if you receive one of these cuties from me.

Hey Mr. Postman

Please deliver more happy mail and less bills... Dream on Jessica, I know. Anyways, I am so glad that the hand written note has not gone completely extinct, yet. I just love opening the mailbox to find sweet letters and announcements from friends. Now, thanks to Cody's new wire frame creation, I can display all of the sweet baby photos, wedding invitations, and simple tokens of friendship in one place. It makes my heart smile every time I pass by. Isn't it cute?!
