Bare Necessities

Each day Charleston and I start our morning drive off by jamming out to the Disney Pandora station, naturally. It is just a short drive to his school, so I try to talk and interact with him as best as I can. These drives typically consist of me singing loudly along to the familiar tunes and Charleston cooing and babbling of some sort in the backseat. This particular morning, a familiar song from The Jungle Book came on and abruptly reminded me of the simplicity of life and to stop and be present in every moment. What a sweet epiphany to begin the day with! I always knew Disney was good for the soul. I hope this brings the same enlightenment to you as it did to me. Enjoy!

Peace, Love, and Bunny Toes

There is just something angelic about baby toes, don't you agree?
I have to give credit to Pinterest for the idea of this darling Easter craft. Cody and I had quite the experience painting Charleston's piggies and, for the most part, he didn't seem to mind. Ha! The trick was to paint the bottom of  his feet and then strategically place them on the green butcher paper without making a huge mess or jeopardizing the shape of each foot. I think they turned out great and I am a little sad that I can't keep this out year round. Oh well.

Peter Rabbit

The family ventured down the road to Cedar Hill Farms for a trip to see the Easter bunny.  I was personally impressed with the beauty of the property and the family friendly activities; of course, I'm always a sucker for cute farm animals.  We had a great time and I know I will always treasure these memories and this picture of our four month old boy sitting in the Easter bunny's lap. Happy Easter, friends and may your day be filled with faith, family, and fellowship.

Special Olympics

I was so honored to be invited to attend a paint party, hosted by Denise Tibbens, in support of the Special Olympics. I know it was for a great cause and I enjoyed meeting some truly wonderful people. Not only did I leave with a new treasure to showcase in my home, but also with a full heart and sense of awe in those parents who continuously fight for their children to be treated as an equal and ensure they are given every possible opportunity. You are a true inspiration my book. Thanks for the invitation, Denise!

Sniff, Cough, Sneeze, Cough

The Bunyard household has been hit with the dreaded cold; this should make for an interesting experience. Lysol anyone? Shopping list: Vicks, tissues, sanitizer, disinfectant, cold & cough medicine, saline solution, aspirator, and more tissues.
P.S. We have since added a trip to the doctor, several dollars worth of prescriptions, and a shot to the rear. It is in these times that I find myself grateful for insurance.

Baby Bunnies

A big shout out to Pinterest for the idea to sew up a few sweet bunnies as happy gifts from Charleston to all of his baby buddies. It took the majority of a rainy afternoon and a few evenings after work to bring these treats to life, but I did it. Oh, and a nod of appreciation to my husband for his help in tracing and cutting out twelve bunnies.
