White Girl Can Dance..

Or at least that's what the Xbox Kinetic says...

Cody and I decided to skip the typical Valentines gifts and invest in an Xbox. Now personally, I could care less about all that gamer nonsense; no offense. But I gotta say, I love my Xbox Kinetic!

Kudos to the computer whiz who thought of not having to use a control to play these silly games. (I'm sure he's doing pretty good) Your body is the control and it simply reads your movement.

Anywhoo, with the weekend upon us, I will spend some time getting my grove on with the Dance Central. It's an awesome game AND its nice to let loose in the privacy of your own house. So far, I'm doing pretty good. I can add the "solider boy" dance to my list of talents.. : )

Oh and to add to the excitement, there is a Michael Jackson Dance game! How cool!

Happy Weekend!!

Home Sweet Home

Hello all! Happy Friday!

A couple of weekends ago, I had the privilege of attending a sweet house warming party. My HLIS teacher buddy and her fiance, Roy, bought a wonderful house in North Creek. Along with planning a wedding, the pair purchased a home and are busy making it all their own. (This sounds all too familiar, buying a home and planning a wedding all at the same time.)

Jessica is such a sweet person and I was honored to be invited to her house warming party. There was delicious food and smiling faces everywhere. I also have to mention how cute her invites were. Check them out. They were fantastic! http://www.storkie.com/p-12368-the-golden-key.aspx

Congratulations to the future Bledsoes! May your home be full of love and laughter.

I love this picture of us teachers!

Candy Hearts

Seeing that its the kick off to Valentines weekend, I'm setting off to Kroger to buy some festive flowers and candy hearts.. I just love this holiday. Even as a child, I always looked forward to the month of February. I couldn't wait to go shopping for those perfect Valentines and sweet treats to pass out to my class. And ten years later, not much has changed. So in the spirit of Cupid, I would like to share a quick video of one of the happiest days of my life; the day I married my favorite valentine. : ) Check it out!

Happy Valentines Weekend!

Getting All Dolled Up

Last week I hosted a Mary Kay party for my near and dear friend Kayla. Aside from being a fantastic third grade teacher, she has also taken on the role as a Mary Kay consultant. I am so proud of her for dipping her toe in the water and trying something new. I know she will go far! I am honored that she chose our house to host her debut party.

I shouldn't take too much credit for hosting the MK party though. Kayla made practically all the yummy dishes; and I mean they were yummy! I'll have to steal some of those delicious recipes. After a forty hour work week, it is nice to get all dolled up and spend an evening with good friends.

All the successful treats.

My small contribution, cookies!

Now let me just tell you that I love me some Mary Kay! Now that I have a big person job, I can afford all the blushes, eye shadows, and powders. It might be a bad idea that I now have easy access to lots of lovely makeup. Oh well.

I would like to thank all the lovely ladies who stopped by the Bunyard residence and supported Kayla. Whoohoo for make-up, good friends, and a glass of wine. : )

Oh Sew Cute!

Hello Happy Campers. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. We have had a few busy weeks in the Bunyard household. Lots of things to do at home and school. Luckily, one of the to do's was not something dull or boring, like grading papers, but rather a social gathering involving sweet treats.. a baby shower! Yay for showers!

Rachel Jenne, or Harper if you knew her back in the day, is a fellow HLIS teacher. She announced earlier in the year that she was expecting and later found out a sweet baby girl is on the way! So of course throughout the year we have watched her belly grow. And now she is only a few weeks away until Miss Charleigh Grace Jenne makes her arrival.

Well as soon as I heard the word shower, I just had to get out my sewing machine and stir up something girly. After weeks of sewing in my spare time, the blanket was finally ready to give to Rachel. Check out the finished project. I think I did a great job, if I say so myself.

Don't you just love babies!
